FAQ

Questions, answered

Who reads my report?

Your report goes first to the representative for your village, then your ward coordinator if needed, and finally the constituency office. The MP's office has constituency-wide oversight and sees summarised trends and escalations.

Do I need an account?

You can start writing a report without one, but you need a free account to send it so that your representative can reach you and you can track progress.

Is my report public?

Only if you choose Public. Even then, only the title, category, ward and status are shown. Your name, phone, email, exact location and photos of private reports are never published.

Why do you ask for my phone number and location?

So the representative handling your report can call you for details and find the place. GPS is optional and only shared with your consent.

Can I report without internet?

Yes. The report is saved on your device and you are asked to confirm before it is sent when you reconnect. Install the app from your browser menu for the best experience.

How do I know what happened to my report?

Use your tracking reference or open My reports. Every status change shows who made it, when, and why. You also get notifications and emails.

What if the problem comes back?

You can reopen a resolved report within the reopening period shown on the report.

Is this an official government service?

Constituency Connect is operated for the office of the Member of Parliament. A notice in the page footer states whether official authorisation has been confirmed. It is not an emergency service.

Can I ask for my data to be deleted?

Yes. Use the request on your profile page. Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 we will respond within 30 days.
